I'm sorry show business isn't for me. I'm goin' back to Allentown!

Hi everyone! Welcome to our first official blog post from the new and improved mrbfilms.com! This has been a busy summer for us: moving, re-branding and trying to stay bathing suit skinny. But don't worry — we've still found time to create relationships and shoot some exciting new campaigns.

We spent last week whooping it up in (drum-roll, please)... Allentown, PA! I know what you're thinking — big whoop, right? But actually Allentown and the Lehigh Valley turned out to be a charming place with exceptionally welcoming and hospitable people. We were shooting a spot with our friends over at beconfey agency in Baltimore, for their client, the Lehigh Valley Health Network. Always on the cutting edge of filmmaking, Bryan Elsom shot the spot on the brand spanking new RED Epic camera. Beyond cool. Gotta love shooting 4K footage at 48fps. With so much data captured you really can control the look of the piece in post. Apparently Peter Jackson is doing the same thing for his new film, The Hobbit... Great minds...

Of course in reviewing the footage back at HQ we were all totally impressed. No one shoots emotional "Kodak moments" like Bryan and this was certainly no exception. From the affectionate performances to the beautiful composition — including a particularly magical shot of a silhouetted couple dancing through a paned glass door — every shot elicits emotion and sings.

All and all, spending time in Allentown was grand and I was sorry to hear Bryan call that we were wrapped. Thank you Lehigh Valley for your hospitality and warmth. I loved the character of your neighborhoods, gardens, weather and charm. That being said, a weekend jaunt to NYC after the shoot was welcome.
